Ah cool! So they ("they" being Alan Cox mostly it looks like)
rearchitected the old PATA kernel modules to sit on top of libata, but
they're not as "rock solid" stable as the old PATA /dev/hd* modules
(although it looks like this was done back in 2006...you'd think
they've stabled off by now)


Erich - you should still see the old IDE drivers as options in 'make
menuconfig' - you could have everything still on /dev/hd* if you
wanted it looks like
