Hi,

The TCS/TFUG issues have gone on for about as long as TCS and SLUG/TFUG
have existed.

We have some crossover between the two groups, but not much...

TFUG = Disorganized, anarchistic, help when/where you can group

TCS = fully organized, member "supported", and basically "older" group.

The two are like oil and water, they only mix if you add a little
vinegar and shake them up a hell of a lot.

This is been tried before, TCS even stated up a Linux special interest
group...

BBLabs (not simply bits) has been able to help us with that before (one
site only had a DSL line, and they provided a 10Mbit wireless link for
the meetings for us).

Like the U of A campus, and many other sites, it's a liability issue.
If you let people drink on our premsis, you are considered legally
responsible for what they do when you leave.

I don't drink (much if any), and I don't like these rules, but $ talk.

Lukes, playing the music too loud? But good food :)

Sans boze, it could be done. Heck I have hosted a few TFUG meetings in
ENRB on campus.

Between getting married (almost 3 years now :) ), and having our first
kid on the way (due any time now), I really have not had much extra time
for TFUG....
