Anyone know what's happening with the installation of ATT DSL in the greater
Tucson area?

thanks, angus.

besides cory's list, what other gotchas are there? here are a few that
might matter to some people (i'm trying to compile a list of things that
might be important to ask about):

o how do they feel about customers who use free unices?
o do they have anybody you can talk to who knows a bit from a byte and what
ICMP
   is?
o what hours for reaching such a person?

o do they provide free nntp? which contractor? any limits?
o if they oversubscribe something, will they bear down on their own
customers?
o do they have a thing against bittorrent, tor, or anything else? might
they?

o how reliable is the service?
o what is the isp responsible for and what is qwest responsible for?
do they point
   fingers at each other?
o how well managed are they?

o if an industry group alleges malfeasance, will they stand up for you?
o if an organization wants to violate your privacy, will they stand up for
you?
o did qwest really stand up to The Man?

o what kind of modem rent/buy/good/bad should you get for it for best
results?
o if you want wireless should you do that on your own or combine with modem?
o what gotchas are there for such a setup?

o static/dynamic ip? dhcp?
o how often do ip numbers change?

Webmaster: do you believe that people will (a) switch browsers to view your
"best viewed with" page or (b) go to your competitor?
