A friend of mine came to me looking for advice on a DVD burner. He wants to make home movies and put them on DVD. I've not looked into this in a while and a quick perusal was information overload - +R, -R, single layer or dual, etc. Has anyone bought one recently that can give me a basic rundown of what to look for, and maybe any advice on what to avoid?
