Those people who like the rsync-style backups should take a look at
rdiff-backup.  http://rdiff-backup.stanford.edu/

It keeps a current snapshot of the system (like rsync would) but also
includes reverse diffs so you can reconstruct backward if you need to.
With periodic burning of the backup directory to cd, this makes for a
very tidy solution for small systems.
