I am. The system is primarily my desktop and staging server for web-work.

I am actually very new with RAID. I have used RAID systems before, but
they have always come already set up. I've never had to do anything like
this on my own.
My main focus is to get something that is cheap and easy that will allow
me to backup my home system with a minimal performance loss. Since my home
system has now become fairly crucial to a number of things (home-business,
Tux4kids, etc) I need to start taking backing it up more seriously than I
have.
I have used LVM before, but hadn't thought of it for my system (2 HDDs,
one intended to be a backup of the other) because my system was so small
(isn't LVM more suited for much larger systems with many more drives?)
