[Tfug] playing midi files with AWE64

Hi,

I am running a 2.4.20 kernel on a Debian Sid system and trying to play
midi files.  The Soundblaster AWE64 works as indicated by the KDE 3.1.1
Control Center.  It as though one module or component is missing.  This 
is the relevant part of lsmod:

I have installed several midi players including KMid.  They all pretend 
they are playing but there is no sound.

Probably the most inportant information is that spxload says:
No AWE synth device is found.
