It's not dead, as far as I can tell. I know many people who use it. Darwin
is nice and everything, but for older Apple hardware (esp. some of the
laptops) Linux screams. Plus, a lot of people I know despise Aqua.
For example, a good friend of mine, Jesse Andrews
(http://tux4kids.net/~jdandr2/) who is the current project manager over
Tux Typing dev, uses it on his laptop at least.
(also, I'm sure others have mentionned this, but Apple is not the only PPC
maker around)
