With the evolution of Darwin and the growing support system for it, is
Linux on the PowerPC platform dead ? Haven't seen anything lately
reqarding running Linux on the Apple platform in any publications, I
haven't seen any thing Linux specific in the Apple/Mac publication at
all.

The reason for the question is my consideration of converting my system
from the current Asus P2-99/Celeron 400-mhz to the Teron CX/IBM 750CXe
G3 (PowerPC clone, 'Boxer Series', reference: terrasoftsolutions.com )
and run Yellow Dog Linux on it.

Why ? I am tired of the x86 environment, that's all.

Has anyone looked into and/or purchase this product ?

I have looked into and still am considering/debating over purchasing a
used Blue and White G3/400 or coughing up for the G4 dualie. We already
have an Imac G3 running OS X (very well, thank you) and I don't want to
mess with it.

Email direct, if you wish.
