[Tfug] Help getting new laptop to suspend/hibernate correctly

I realize that you don't have a Thinkpad but you might be using the same usb3.0 driver (I'm too lazy to find your old email).  In short the links give you instructions on how to unload the USB driver before trying to suspend.  Don't know if it will work for you but it worked perfectly on my Thinkpad running Kubuntu 10.04.
