[Tfug] Ethernet connectivity issues on Ubuntu 10.04

I saw this a few times with Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 (on different boxes)
but only for a few seconds and the connection came up again.  Haven't
checked if it's Ubuntu or my old modem on cable or Cox cable.  Just saw it
a couple of times briefly and not when I had two or more boxes up.
