OpenBSD or NetBSD will probably have better support than most other
distros.  I'd pick based on hardware compatibility.

Are these 32 or 64 bit machines?

I'm running OpenBSD 4.7 on a 2x1Ghz US3 Fire V210 - works great as a
firewall (total overkill though)
