[Tfug] Reminder to respect one another

I propose we stop worshipping Linux, and move on, rather than watch
TFUG slowly fart its way into this decade's equivalent of an OS/2 or
Amiga users group.

The window for Linux becoming a viable, workable, supportable desktop
OS for the masses closed a long time ago. It's fine as a server OS,
but, beyond that, there's no point in continuing to dump any further
effort into it.

Hell, the writing's on the wall for the whole idea of a home desktop
PC anyway. They're becoming niche relics, big, dumb trucks that make
noise, generate heat, and spend most of their lives doing 3 GHz worth
of nothing all day.

If you want to talk about where to go from here, start talking
Android. Start talking Darwin. Start talking Chrome OS. Quit looking
to tired, indifferent old popcorn farts like Torvalds and tenured
freaks like RMS for direction. They didn't get the job done,
squandered too many opportunities, and in at least one case, found the
taste of their own fucking toe cheese to be of greater interest than
moving the platform forward in a permanent and meaningful way.

Them's the facts. You can ignore it all you want, but that's pretty
much the Linux ballgame in a nutshell. Time to move on.
