[Tfug] Anyone tried out PC-BSD?

Has anyone tried out PC-BSD? It's basically FreeBSD but with a pretty
slick looking package manager called PBI, that actually looks
reminiscent of the way that software is installed on Mac OS X... .pbi
files include all the dependencies self contained, much the same way
.apps on OS X work. Plus it looks like with a little bit of work you
can install to a ZFS filesystem... that's pretty cool stuff

Here's the Slashdot article if anyone's interested:
http://bsd.slashdot.org/story/10/02/26/1549215/PC-BSD-80-Release-Focuses-On-Desktop-Use

Here's a "screenshot tour" of the install:
http://www.unixmen.com/news-today/838-bsd-is-now-much-easier-for-desktop-use-with-pc-bsd-80-installation-and-screenshots

Screenshots of the OS itself are kinda pointless... it's a KDE 4
desktop, so it er, looks like a KDE 4 desktop :P

PC-BSD 8.0 looks really tempting... FreeBSD with a graphical
installer, a focus on the desktop, fast and lean, and ZFS?
Hmm where's that blank DVD spindle of mine....
