[Tfug] Labeling components

Hi,

I've got a random assortment of "stuph" that I draw
on to build/repair machines. Most things are large
enough that I can label them without fear of the label
falling off or being so *tiny* that it is unreadable
(i.e., "old eyes").

But, memory just defies any attempt I've made at coming
up with a reliable way of tagging!

Self adhesive labels fall off pretty quickly. Apparently
the chips are coated with teflon :-(

*Gluing* labels on (with anything short of cyanoacrylate)
yields similar results.

Attempting to *add* something (in ink) onto any existing
(pseudo-paper) labels that are already *delightfully*
affixed to the device either means obfuscating the
information already on that label *or* you discover the
label itself is made of teflon! :-(

The only reliable way, thus far, has been to put similar
devices into sandwich bags accompanied by a simple sheet
of paper that serves to identify *all* of the devices
within. But, then you end up with a bunch of little
bags (some of which could have just *one* device therein!)

I have, from time to time, seen "white pen" (no better
way to describe it) written on some devices. Almost as
if this was a white "Sharpie". That seems a win as you
could choose to deface *one* of the chips on the memory
module and still have the other (identical) chips
unmarred so you could read their markings, if needed.

Any idea what sort of "pen" this is? Or, any other
ideas as to how to tag the devices reliably?

Thanks!
