[Tfug] Hackintosh

I have a dell mini 10v, I was thinking to try hackintosh, how do I install
it? I saw different postings that say you need an external dvd reader plus
usb key, is that right? Do I need the original mac os X DVD for install?

and what is the legal status of doing this? Do I need the original Dvd Mac
os X, and that's enough for legal status?

Also wouldn't be too slow? I read that's better a 4 year old G4 than a
notebook.
