[Tfug] Looking for a cable

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever gotten one of these USB-Centronix
converter cables or plugs to work on *nix?  I tried one a few years back
and gave up when I found that it worked sort-of-OK if you had it on a
Windoze box and loaded the vendors software, but not-so-OK on *nix.
