Not quite sure what the contant of the book manioned on the site refer to but two point come quickly to mind.
1) The human race cannot just keep multiplying without restriction forever - eventually we will reach a maximum capapacity to produce food on this planet.
2) From a purly scientific standpoint a strategy such as cloning the "perfect specimen" and dispensing with all others is foolish as genetic variety is the key to an organism's long-term survival. Today's environmental conditions may change in the future.
