"/sbin/ifconfig | more"  is functionally equivalent for those who can't 
create the appropriate grep/sed regex off the top of their heads--or for 
those of us who couldn't be bothered to go through the effort.  :)  If 
it's something you do a lot, it's worth making a script or alias for 
though, IMHO.

The command given didn't work for me though; ifconfig -i seems to be a 
Mac-only flag?  It didn't work on [k]Ubuntu or RHEL for me, anyway.
