It probably is even more trivial as that... as (and depending on how
they limit access) it is probably just by IP address, and unless they
have doubled up on their access points, the same "wire" is being used
for both "secure", and "insecure" access, all you may end up having to
do is find an unused IP address on the "secure" network, and assign
that to your computer (along with the requisite routing, etc).

I seem to recall that working with the landlines... if you don't rely
on the University's DHCP server to hand you an address, the switch
didn't care.

Of course, I am not recommending anyone try that, and it is actually
probably against all sorts of laws, and policies.
