Recall that the UofA has instituted their new "highly secure" wireless
network. If you're not registered (student, faculty, staff) with the
UofA, you're restricted to their "public" network which is bandwidth
throttled and locks out everything but port 80. Obviously, it's
trivial to circumvent this (meaning that they're irritating me for no
good reason, tho that's a rant for another time) but, as a rule, you
don't want to be relying on the UofA's public wireless network.
