We have a large amount of email AND many accounts to track used for
different things business etc.
Over the years I have accumulated a number of accounts I won't let go of
as I've been doing this long enough that i HAVE_MY OWN NAME on MSN
Netscape Aol etc. plus several different business related emails.

The only client that I use consistently every day for email AND other
functions...journal calendar etc etc is Evolution.

FWIW it is also the only one I have found reliable and easy to setup for
MSN/hotmail IMAP and POP, both on the send and recieve end.

FWIW our backup (dialup) account is MSN we have had this since MSN's
origin and they block smtp except for theirs, so with Evolution we have
been able to send out mail too not having to revert to MSN software or
Outlook(express).

The last outlook we had was 97 which chokes on about everything and
outlook express we don't like. That said we have also been able to
retirieve mail aon all with Opera and Kmail. Of the two Kmail/Kontact
work pretty much the same as Evolution but I've stayed with the latter.

Considering recent events I think I can expect Evolution to stay
useable/compatible with MSN's HTTP mail too. At the moment that is a
third party library enabling this, but I would look for Novell to build
it in soon (Windows Live Mail compatibility) given their
"interoperability" effort.

Essentially I see Evolution as an outlook replacement ....including
exchange compatibility....without the baggage of having to ever use
windows on the net. The two windows machines we have never go on the
internetnet...in fact they are blocked up and down only used on the lan.
