Clearly if Debian were able to have the stability of 'stable' on a more timely basis, there'd be no reason to use Ubuntu. Debian proper has such a great, large code base. Of course, upgrading from one version to another has to be very reliable, which hasn't always been true for me. +1 for the oxymoron "new, stable"!!
