Just because a piece of code is OLD doesn't mean
it no longer *works*!  :>  I still have a W3.1
system available for tools that I used to develop
old projects (since it seems that vendors rarely
spend much effort ensuring TRUE 100% "backward
compatibility" on their products  :< )
