Some parts were good, others not, probably depending on which author wrote
which part.  Nothing beats finding something you want to do and working
your way through it using X (where X = python, perl, csh, language du
jour).  Other books I've used are the Python Cookbook (good for examples,
and has a large on-line website of other good examples), Programming Python
(not for the faint of heart), Python in a Nutshell, and Python Essential
Reference (this one by New Riders).
