Go to Dell's website and enter your service tag number. It will tell you 
what your warranty status is. In addition, it should tell you what your 
repair options are.

If you have Next Business Day or At Home repair service as Adrian's scenario 
suggests, you call Dell's tech support and tell them about the problem. Best 
case, they perform troubleshooting to narrow down the problem to a hardware 
fix. Then they issue a ticket for a local tech to visit your location and 
replace the bad part.

If you have depot level service, they send you a box and you send the 
computer on its way. It will be a while then...
