[Tfug] Apache server and PHP

    The problem is that my apache server is not performing the proper
encoding
of PHP code on my machine.

    There is a module:

          /etc/apache2/modules.d/70_mod_php5.conf

with several software switches in it:


<IfDefine PHP5>
             .
             .
             .
      <IfModule mod_mime.c>
                .
                .
                .
      </IfModule>
            .
            .
</IfDefine>

    I am wondering how these switches are set. Right now I'm about
to rebuild Apache with the php use flag.  Doing an

          emerge -vp apache

does not give me any encouragement.
