Just run cat 5 down the hallway and under the door. That's geeky. You'll appreciate the performance difference too. Little rubber
ducky antennas or chip antennas don't do too well from one side of the house to the other, through walls, etc. For better effect,
hang the wire on light fixtures, run it behind pictures on the wall and drape it over furniture for techno-effect. But seriously...

I was a Smoothwall fan but continual refrences to upgrade to the commercial version became unwelcome. Then, the SW website got
hacked and the mailing list ceased. At the time, both IPCop and SW were quite similar. Probagly still are to some extent. I
subscribed to the IPCop lists instead of going back to SW. IPCop is recommended.
