[Tfug] correct Kernel for an older AMD system

Gentoo? It'll take weeks to compile! :)

I've used Gentoo on my newer laptop and I have to admit it was one of the
more snappy Linux installs I've ever used. Everything seemed so much faster
when I installed Gentoo. Don't let my joke above phase you - it only took
me about an hour to install from scratch (includes writing all the config
files). Be sure to print off the Gentoo install handbook - it's probably
the best guide to installing Gentoo from scratch. Emerge also works really
well...If you want something quick, grab one of the other distros, but if
you want maximum configuration, Gentoo is definitely the way to go.
