The Inspiron 5150 series have had a bad problem with overheating. The CPU 
heatsink becomes easily clogged with dust/hair and then dies a horrible 
death...

Of course... its seems all the Dells (and seemingly all other laptops) have 
this same basic problem. I personally use i8kctl to turn on the fans and keep 
them going. I put an "i8kfan 2 1" in my rc.init, so at bootup the fans 
automatically turn on and keep things cool. Unfortunately, the BIOS still 
likes to turn them back off, but a quick script watching the fan status would 
fix that.
