If you like Red Hat, the upgrade path is to Fedora once it's ready. 
It'll more or less be Red Hat 10.

I'm sure linux news sites will have a ton of fanfare when fedora moves
from beta to release.

RH8 updates will come out until the date mentioned in the announcement.
