Greetings,
I received the aforementioned email from Redhat Network just this
afternoon. Running RH 8.0 (2.4.20) on two machines, an AMD 400 and
Celeron 550, both 320 megs ram, I have been running Redhat since 5.2.

I guess I won't be upgrading. Any thoughts on how long I can keep a
current Redhat box uh... current. Yes, I am spoiled rotten by not having
to worry about finding compatible patches and bug fixes and applying
them on my own. Until today... :(

I took a look at Debian this afternoon. I don't relish the thought of
backing up and doing a new install of a new distro. But I always enjoy
it. Besides, Debian is probably not going away next year. :)

Any thoughts/suggestions from you Debian gurus would be appreciated. It
looks like Sarge may be the latest stable release by the time I am ready
to make a change. Best (least problematic) installation scenarios from
your experience? I do have a fast cable connection, bootable cd drive
and cdrw drive. So any of the installation options are options.

TIA,
Bob G.
