[Tfug] linux distro including staroffice 7? or how to read wordperfect docs on linux? or what's up with sun's java desktop

I've been using Open Office in both windows and linux environments for
about 8 months.

There is an occasional hiccup, but nothing serious.

It reads all windows document formats, generates PDF's, and even comes
with the presentation software.

Last semester, I gave all of my master's presentations with OO. It
worked swimmingly.

Just my 2 cents.
