[Tfug] X window managers

As other have said, don't use XDM, use KDE or GDM.

My personal preference is GDM as it is so very quick and versatile, but
both will work fine.

If you really want to get custom, simply making each user an .xsession
file launching their default environment you can do that as well. XDM,
GDM, and KDM all respect this file if the user leaves the setting to
"Default Session".

I've tried online documentation and even went to www.xfree86.org, but nowhere seems to match the Debian default installs.

I need the graphical login for the other people who use the computer, and I use KDE for the windows people, Ice for myself, and I need tvwm for one program. When I use xdm, though, it will default to KDE and I cannot seem to find the proper file to alter to make it default anywhere else. I would like to be able to put in a user specific file so one person would sefault to KDE, but another would default to ICE.
