[Tfug] ip question

Hi



I'm trying to access my home computer from work using ssh. I'd tried to  
find the ip address at home using ifconfig and I got a 192.168.x.y address  
whcih I
later found to be a private network default IP. I looked up my IP address  
online by going to whatismyipaddress.com and I got a completely different  
address.
I couldn't connect to my home computer using this IP address either. I  
know that the sshd daemon is running with the same parameters on both my  
home and lab
PCs. Is there something else I'm missing here?
