A quick google search tells me that many people have seen this and
it's usually attributed to a buggy version of cdrecord.  Make sure you
have the newest available version (for your distro version).  You
might want to poke around and see if your cdrecord version
(run "rpm -q cdrecord") is one that's been giving people trouble.
