[Tfug] Nagios & SNMP

I'm wondering if anyone on the list has worked with SNMP within Nagios 
and if so, is there a way I can perform math on the results of a 
'check_snmp' command?  For instance, if I query the SNMP for the total 
bits in/out of my firewall & I want to turn it into kilobits or 
megabits.  Can I perform the math on the results and output that to 
Nagios?
