Response from Office Depot (Marana)...
Office Depot has carried some LINUX software over the past several years,
however, the software assortment carried is done at the Corporate level.
Stores have no input into this except to supply sales for the product on the
shelf. In our store (Marana) LINUX sales are very poor and unlike Microsoft,
the vendor for the LINUX products that have been carried, doesn't buy back
their outdated software when new stuff is available. If OD doesn't carry
LINUX, it will be because OD shoppers have voted it off the shelves through
their lack of purchases. I wish that national brands of computer mfgs
(Compaq/HP, Dell, Gateway, etc would package the LINUX product if even in
their buget systems. Like anything at retail, slow sales lead to less
availability. I hope this answers your concerns
