[Tfug] Outsourcing (sick!)

I hope I am not stepping too far out of bound here, as I have a personal
experience regarding outsourcing.
Once upon a time, very long ago (or so it seems) I was an
conventional/CNC machinist in So Cal. About that time
the Cold War ended and George the First declared United States "a
post-industrial nation", with it all the larger manufacturers were able
to outsourced their machining, in the new global economy, to China,
India, Mexico, and whatever.
Today, there is very little machining or manufacturing within the US,
and those places that do the manufacturing pay their people
roughly US$5 per day versus what we pass for minimum wage...anyway the
point is, I am working a brain-dead job as a 'pest control technician'
earning swat instead of doing what I rather be doing, machining.
