[Tfug] Ghostscript can't find gs_init.ps

hey folks, hope everyone is having fun!

I've had trouble configuring Ghostscript.  I had it working for awhile; 
loaded some libraries, other packages and now when compiling the new version 
of ESP Ghoscript , I get a "Checking for X ...no" while running ./configure; 
and when I try to run gs from the command line I get "Ghostscript can't find 
initialization file gs_init.ps; also now, KDEinit can't open kpackage 
either.

ps.  I typed "xhost + localhost," and I thught I unlocked stale locks on 
Xauthority (whatever that means) by "xauth -b" (whatever that does)
