[Tfug] Newbie: Samba & Win2000

Just set up a Debian box using what I thought was the latest version, 
download from debian.org, but it installed Samba 2.0.8.  I see from the 
Samba.org site that Samba 2.2.1 is required for Win2000 support, which I 
need.  Also, the samba site says 2.2.5, released 19 June 2002, as the 
latest-and-greatest.  Debian's dselect shows 2.0.7-5 as the available 
version.

How do I get this samba box to work with Win2000?
