we have an unusual arangment with the uofa we are the really the
USGS, but in a UofA building. the only uofa staff is the IT staff and
the students. the conference room can hold 30~40 people but im not sure
how many boxes. going by last installfest that would be more then
enough. but if it becomes a problem we have two other confrence rooms
in the building. if you guys want you can take a look at it. we only
have a 10mb uplink because the UofA charges for more, and 10mb is enough
for our needs but we might be upgrading. most of our really big data
transfers are through goverment networks and we have two frame relay
links in the building direct to major usgs offices for those purposes.
power shouldn't be an issue i have never tripped a breaker here before,
and we can always run power from the surrounding area. the building is
at the NE corner of 6th and park. it is building enrb and says national
weather department on the outside. It is across the street from the
texico. we have a parkinglot ajacent to the office but also have a very
large parkinglot across the street. about the date... late july won't
work for me. im going to be in vancouver B.C. starting the 19th of
july for one to two weeks, and will be moving into a new house the first
weekend in august. so we could probably do the second weekend in
august. how's that sound? anyway let me know what you guys think.
