Keith,
I'd bet dollars-to-donuts that when you're typing your thumbs are
occasionally touching the mousepad registering accidental clicks. I do the
same thing on my laptop. You can either disable the mousepad and use a real
mouse (it's an option in the BIOS on my laptop) or move the mouse pointer on
top of the titlebar for the window you're typing in so that the click
doesn't do anything but focus the window you're already in.
Doh!

Subject: [Tfug] Laptop Mouse weirdness
Hi all,
I'm having this real weird problem with my laptop. At first I thought
it was limited to windows. The problem is as I type (without touching
the mouse) periodically my mouse will click. So depending where the
mouse is will depend on what action is taken. This is a major
inconveniance.
This happens both in Win2000 and Debian. I have a Toshiba Satellite
1000-s158. This machine came originally with XPHome.
Is this a driver issue? Do I need to configure something?
Thanks in advance,
Keith
