I'm glad you got it work and:
That probably means that your Debian lilo.conf accurately describes your
various boot sectors and your Mandrake may not. I don't recommend
having two lilo.conf's unless one of them only describes a local
partition that the main one doesn't. It's not a good idea to have
redundant data unless it is automatically mirrored. If you now run lilo
from your Mandrake system you could mess up what you did when you ran
lilo on your Debian system.
