[Tfug] Dual boot linuxs

Hi Keith.
I notice you do not have a shared /boot partition.
Usually I make one (at the beginning of the drive, right after hda1) so
the kernels will reside in there, so that they can be cross-referenced
between nixes. Otherwise, there is no way to spec the other kernel (well
other than to mount the partition under like /mnt or something).
There should be a line added to your lilo.conf (on my system lilo.conf
resides on the /boot partition, and is linked to from /etc/lilo.conf in
both installs) for each Linux installation.
Please let me know if I made any sense...

Subject: [Tfug] Dual boot linuxs
Hi it is me again.
I've loaded Win2000 in hda1 & hda5
hda6 is swap
/home is hda7
hda8 is / for Debian
hda9 is / for Mandrake
Both will boot however I cannot figure out how to reference both in
one lilo.conf.
What I did was install Mandrake to dual boot with win2000 and it did.
Then I installed Debian and got it to dual boot with Win2000. I could
not boot into Mandrake.
I rescued into mandrake and ran lilo and can dual boot win/mandrake.
When I mod lilo.config on either side I can not get it to recognize
the other Linux.
Is there a simple howto someplace?
Thanks,
Keith
