With internet streaming by cable, we've been successful in providing Linux computers to stream to each of customers' wide screen TV's.  Instant on Linux beats Windows any day for streaming.  Linux does the following:
1.  Replaces the customers' stereos, as Linux can stream videos just about any artist, any song from the internet.
2.  Customers play games on their big screen TV's from their easy chair with wireless mouse & keyboard.3.  Youtube has a nearly unlimited supply of old TV shows for free.4.  YoutubeTV replaces cable (and coax cables) so any TV in the house gets local and network cable stations.5.  It's easier to navigate streaming than work a cable clicker.6.  You don't have 500 useless stations to bypass.
Any advantages I've missed, please contribute....

There's a fee! Yeah. Thanks but no thanks. We have coworkspaces here like heatsync labs and gangplank...where we have meetings. Was wondering if there were any in Tucson for the same.
Oh... you know what...our group has workshops with ASU lug...do you do anything with uofa? Does uofa have a LUG?

The Tucson Computer Society Linux SIG meets the fourth Sunday of the month at 3 pm. It's open to all. I'm not an expert on Linux but sometimes an answer can be found among the attendees. See www.aztcs.org for directions.

Is interest in Linux dying out, or has everyone just largely moved to

Real irritating though that it's gotten harder to meet up with people
in person to talk about Linux. Sometimes it's more efficient and fun
to talk to an actual human, rather than a bunch of text on a screen.
Luckily for me though several of my coworkers are also into Linux and
my job involves lots of Linux and so I'm not starving for
Linux-related conversation :)

In other news, are there any gamers here who've used Steam's new and
improved version of Wine? It looks pretty cool and I'm planning on
trying it out with World of Warcraft when I get the chance.
