[Tfug] Is TFUG dead?

Great points. I have been thinking along the same lines of "failure of old
to inspire young". At our LUG - Maricopa Pinal, we are working to bridge
that gap.

We have a community outreach program with goals to donate Linux Computers
to local recipients. The computers we donate are donated to us. We haven't
even begun and in just mentioning our goals, we have a nice Dell with
xubuntu and a Laptop with Mint 17.

I don't know that we need to be consistent with one distro and it will
depend on the receivers' preferences.

The first place we reached out to was Boys and Girls Club. I am sure we
will have no shortage of people wanting to be recipients.

For 2015, we plan to offer workshops at our local shared workspace -
Gangplank and possibly the Hive - at the library for west side community
members.

I guess we will see what this year brings, but I really would love to see
more young people attend, participate and work with us, living, learning
and enjoying Linux.
