That is an option.  He found this company and wants to move ahead.  The site in it's current form is Drupal.  I am having difficulty finding a Drupal designer.  And I do not have the time to maintain a Drupal install.

Keith,

  Why not use Drupal?

Hi Kevin,

Basically he wants to build a hierarchical website where he can add categories and content pages.  Pretty simple.  However sometime in the future he may want to do more.  So expandability is important.  I cannot tell you what that expansion might look like.  He will be using a third party like Mail Chimp to manage his subscribers and manage his mailing list.

Hi Kevin,
It would help to know more about what your friend is planning to do with the website - eg hosting a blog, managing weekly newsletters, letting users log in to do various tasks, etc. There are many tools out there, picking the right one depends on the specifics of the job at hand.

I used to do some development on ExpressionEngine a few years back - as a CMS/blog engine, it's perfectly adequate, if clunky, a little flaky, and IMHO not that well written. I recall the UI leaving much to be desired, particularly from an admin's point of view. Then again, it's been about 4 years since I've worked on the project so much has likely changed.

Hi,

A friend is building a website for his water well ministry.  He is looking at possibly using Expressionengine.  I had not heard of it until a couple of weeks ago.

I was wondering if anyone else may have used it and if so your opinion.

Thank you in advance!
