I would ask these questions on the Lenovo forums and see if anyone there is 
running Linux on these boxes.  The driver download pages for both machines list 
only Windows drivers.

A search of the latter forum for "T510" yielded zero hits, while a search for 
"T500" returned lots (most looking from drivers on first scan, unfortunately
