Netgear RangeMax WNR3500L Wireless-N router runs Linux 
  - News - The H Security: News and features

    Netgear has announced the release of its WNR3500L Wireless-N router that 
    comes pre-loaded with Linux-based firmware. In addition to Gigabit 
    ethernet and a USB 2.0 connection for external storage or a USB 3G modem, 
    the WNR3500L features a 480 MHz MIPS processor, 8 MB of flash memory and 
    64 MB of RAM.  

    Netgears latest Wireless-N router can run a variety of open source router 
    firmware - from DD-WRT and OpenWrt to the HyperWRT-based Tomato. 
    Compatible versions of the various firmware packages are available to 
    download from Netgear's myopenrouter.com community website. The WRT3500L's 
    original firmware binary based on the 2.4.20 Linux kernel and its source 
    code are also available.  

    More details about the wireless router can be found on the WNR3500L 
    product page and in the provided data sheetPDF. According to Netgear, the 
    router will be available in "Fall 2009" and will retail for $139.99 in the 
    US.
